Old walk way planks are replaced and the area is given a fresh coat of paint.
Recently the Georgetown and Weld Quay area has become top choice for wedding photo shoots.
Some of the famous ah kong and ah ma wall paintings are located here. Depicting the locals of Chew Jetty in an interesting way.
From the Chew Jetty, you can clearly see the Tan Jetty on the other side and the newly renovated Goddess of Mercy Temple.
After walk around under the hot sun, we found the lady boss "frying" the ice cream.
Chilling and delicious. Just RM5 a bowl.
At the opposite site of the road, there is a stall selling fried fritters or locally known as Pisang Goreng.
The surrounding area also has other stall selling other delicacies such as famous Penang Laksa and iced desserts.
Chew Jetty is a lovely place to visit now especially during the weekends. Its great to see more people getting to know Penang better.
